Areola reconstruction alters the appearance of the areola, changing the shape or color or giving people a nipple if they do not have one. It is done the same way other cosmetic tattoos are, pigment is deposited into the skin to create an image. Areola tattooing can be an advantage to a lot of people both aesthetically and psychologically. It helps breast cancer survivors, those who have burns or scarring on their chest/breast area, trans and non-binary clients and anyone who is not happy with the way their areola looks.
